Andrea Marcellusi

Andrea Marcellusi has been a tenure-track Researcher (RTT) since May 1, 2024, at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Milan. He is responsible for the Advanced Course in “Regulatory Strategies and Economic Evaluations for Drug Access,” the PhD course in “Pharmacoeconomics and Market Access: Strategies and Applications,” the Market Access module for the second-level Master’s program in “Regulatory Sciences and Market Access of Products with Therapeutic and Health Activities: Medicines, Medical Devices, Cosmetics, and Food Supplements,” and the courses in “Statistical and Epidemiological Methodologies” and “Pharmacoeconomics” for the Specialization School in Hospital Pharmacy at the University of Milan.


His research and teaching activities concern Health Economics, with particular focus on topics such as Health Technology Assessment, economic analyses of healthcare systems, simulation models for evaluating the economic impact of diseases, drug pricing and negotiation, and pharmaceutical regulation.


He is President of the International Society of PharmacoEconomics and Outcome Research (ISPOR) Italy Rome Chapter for the 2024-2026 term and Vice President of the EUPATI Expert Patient Academy. He is a member of the editorial board of the Clinical Drug Investigation Journal and Global and Regional Health Technology Assessment (GRHTA).


He is the author of over 100 indexed scientific publications and has participated in numerous national and international research projects. He also provides consultancy services to national and international institutions in the field of pharmaceutical technologies and medical devices, working with both public and private stakeholders.
