Federico Lega

Federico Lega, PhD, is full professor of health economics, policy, and management, University of Milan, where he coordinates the Centro di Ricerca ad Alta Formazione in Health Administration [CRC HEAD, Center for Research and Advanced Study in Health Administration]. He is affiliate professor at the Bocconi School of Management, where he has directed the international masters program in healthcare management and policy. He helped found and directed for nine years the masters program in healthcare management and the section on executive training in healthcare. He is currently president of the European Healthcare Management Association (EHMA), editor-in-chief of Health Services Management Research (SAGE Publications), advisor to the World Health Organization (WHO), correggere nella versione italiana and adjunct professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (USA) and the Gulf Medical University, Ajman (UAE).

He conducts courses in management, research, and consulting for institutions, healthcare organizations, pharmaceutical and biomedical companies. Course topics include strategy, governance, organizational development, change management, people and performance management, and operation management in healthcare. He has held the position of scientific coordinator of regional qualification courses for healthcare organization managers. He has authored over ten books and hundreds of journal publications.
