Marta Marsilio is associate professor of business economics at the University of Milan, Department of Economics, Managements and Quantitative Methods. She is coordinator of the course on business economics and accounting (3-year degree program in economics and management) and of the course on management of healthcare organizations (3-year degree program in public health management). Her main research and teaching areas are executive training in: operations management in healthcare services (patient logistics, lean management, co-production of healthcare services); evaluation of supply chain performance and innovation in healthcare; public-private partnerships in the management of public services; evaluation of the impact of technological innovation on public services (e-government, e-health).
She has authored numerous articles for scientific journals. She is editorial administrator of Health Service Management (SAGE Publications), editorial board member of MECOSAN, advisor to the Associazione Professionale ASFOR dei Formatori di Management [Apaform, Italian Association for Managerial Training] research fellow at the Centre for Research in Health and Social Care Management (CERGAS) Bocconi University and the Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics (LIME) at the Karolinska Institute, and member of the steering committee of CRC HEAD. She is a member of the board of independent auditors for the IRCCS AOU San Martino – Istituto Nazionale per la Ricerca sul Cancro di Genova [National Cancer Research Institute, Genoa], and member of the board of directors of the IRCCS Besta, Milan.
