Our Expertise

HEAD manages six main lines of work

Training, consulting, and research conducted by HEAD are grounded on extensive field experience and on connections with national and international scientific networks, as well as professional networks.

Interventions are designed to respond to management problems, be they logistic or technical in nature, and to develop organization resources by driving change in institutions and healthcare organizations, in social and pharmaceutical agencies, and in related technologies and services (assessor’s office, agencies, healthcare organizations, hospitals, and nursing homes, residential and semi-residential care facilities, rehabilitation, diagnostic, and outpatient clinics, drugs and biotechnology companies).

Drawing on knowledge and experience in healthcare executive training, and in response to the increasingly complex demands in the healthcare sector, commissioned training courses have been enriched by personalizing the intervention according to six basic formats:

  1. Awareness raising, short or modular, about specific issues
  2. Organizational development workshop combining training and tutorship and providing support in initiating or continuing change processes in an organization
  3. Growth pathway for individual talents through training targeted to specific professional profiles and organizational roles involved in driving innovation and change in contents and skills
  4. Advisory or mentoring of organization management
  5. Creation and management of communities of practice for developing skills and contents specific to a profession, for example, a workshop on patient logistics, a community of practice in operations management, training for nurse managers or human resource directors
  6. Projects on market access for healthcare companies that involve institutional stakeholders (regional administrations, assessor offices, ministries, etc.), healthcare organization executives, and clinicians. The aim is to bring together national/regional healthcare services and companies in a feasible partnership

Within these formats, a healthcare organization can construct jointly with HEAD instructors a pathway for consulting, research-intervention or training intervention that best meets the organization’s needs.
